History About Me

I love life, good food, animals and helping people discover their right path.

I was born to wonderful parents, Beatrice and Tommy in Scotland. My mother was a nanny to the house of Sir Edward Stevenson and my  father was in the British Army. He was also a Hoisting Engineer and soccer player for Duns United.

Immigrating to Canada allowed me to pursue further education and employment opportunities. I have experience working in areas of community development, government studies, land claims and land negotiations. I also have a degree in Aboriginal law and was a Human Rights advocate, appointed to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal for 5 years.

Life Challenges

As a life well lived, my career path has taken many twists and turns, ups and downs. I have personally dealt with many challenges, including trauma, loss, disordered eating, stress, marriage, bulling in the work place, divorce and other challenges common to many of us.

Self Discovery – Healing – Loss – Personal Growth

I became aware of the importance of recognizing my past and what was holding me back from fully living a life well deserved. How to let go of what was no longer serving me and get myself on the right path. Self-discovery and healing is a continuous process, one that can be difficult at times, but is tremendously rewarding and leads to increased self-esteem and personal growth.

As an example in my failed relationships I would wonder why I would step over the RED FLAGS instead of picking them up. I mean really look at them or talk to someone just to get another opinion or just vent. Why did I think I could change someone or why did I not like them the way they were? Why did the things they did start to bother me and I became a nitpicker or they did?

Oh, how  I wish I’d had a Life Coach back then!

Another example was the loss of my mother and the survival of my father. It was heart breaking for him and heart-challenging for me and my sisters. Each of us dealt with the loss differently, but no one way was incorrect, because we all experienced different levels and identifications of grief.

My diverse personal experience and education have given me a unique understanding of the importance of helping the whole person. Let me help YOU!
